Central Processing Unit

The Central Processing Unit of the Sierra Leone Immigration service is responsible for the screening and processing of ordinary passport applications.

The unit ensures that all application presented to the office must have gone through the customer care unit where the forms are registered and ready for processing

 All application forms (Replacement and Fresh) for ordinary passport must be properly completed with required documents attached:

v Copy of Birth Certificate

v Copy of passport (in case of


vThree passport sized photograph (White


v Copy of Marriage Certificate

v Copy of Naturalization Certificate (only for naturalized citizens)

 Central Processing Unit (CPU) recommends processed application forms for interview and approval before payment is made.

 Paid Application Forms are then sorted out and slated for biometric capture

 Application forms (replacement) of Applicants residing out of Sierra Leone are put on list and scanned before printing
